Practices in South Warwickshire benefit from access to HCA Resilience. This is a bookable clinical service provided by fully trained and supported Health Care Assistants, to help practices find absence cover and plan ahead for training or holiday leave.
Our Health Care Assistants can cover services that a practice already provides during staff shortages.
Phlebotomy Team
Our trained SWGP phlebotomists are here to provide support alongside practice staff, or when a practice’s own phlebotomists are not always available.
SWGP offers this flexible and convenient service to all member practices to help ensure patients have consistent access to blood testing at their local practice and to cover staff shortages.

Resilience Secretary service
We offer secretarial cover for practices to help out when an extra pair of hands is needed, whether that’s due to a heavy workload, sickness absence or covering holiday periods.
Our remote Resilience Secretary service encompasses most aspects of a secretarial role, including accessing the surgery’s clinical system and Lexacom digital dictation.
This remote access enables our Resilience Secretary service to provide a much more flexible level of cover depending on the surgery’s requirement and service availability.
Primary Care (PC) Surge
In partnership with Coventry & Rugby GP Alliance, SWGP Federation helps provide PC Surge, a project to support and provide additional GP capacity to General Practice across Coventry and Warwickshire, ensuring service delivery during GP workforce shortages.
