COVID-19 services

In partnership with local practices and Primary Care Networks, we provide COVID-19 ‘hot hubs’ and vaccination clinics for patients in South Warwickshire.

Our collective response is a great example of how practices and networks working cooperatively can achieve a huge amount in a short space of time to support patients.

COVID-19 ‘hot hubs’

We run ‘hot hubs’ in South Warwickshire for patients who have COVID-19 or are showing COVID symptoms.

To protect patients and staff, appointments can only be booked by a GP – patients must have a telephone consultation with their own GP first, who will decide if an examination is needed.

The hot hubs are located at:

Leamington – Crown Way Hub, Lillington, Leamington Spa CV32 7SF

Stratford – Rother House Medical Centre, Stratford-Upon-Avon CV37 6PP

Hot hubs are staffed by a GP and supported by a Healthcare Assistant or Practice Nurse to help manage infection prevention and control measures between patients to keep everyone safe.

If you are experiencing COVID-symptoms and need medical assistance, please contact your GP or NHS 111. In an emergency, dial 999.

Vaccination clinics

SWGP has been instrumental in supporting Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to deliver COVID-19 vaccinations in South Warwickshire.

In some cases, we have provided a full service, from contacting patients to booking them in, running the centres and providing all staff.

In other areas where practices are handling vaccinations locally, we have provided staff to support the efficient rollout of vaccines.

Extra capacity has been announced to support the booster programme – find out more here

Vaccinations delivered by end June 2021 in Southam and Studley alone
