On Wednesday 11th March 2026, we’re supporting National No Smoking Day – a nationwide campaign encouraging smokers to take the first step towards quitting.

Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health – and the Primary Care Stop Smoking Support service is here to help.

You’re much more likely to quit successfully with the right support. If you’re aged 12+ and are registered with a Warwickshire GP, the Primary Care Stop Smoking Support service offers free support to help you quit for good, including:

  • Individual support from a qualified stop smoking advisor, typically face-to-face at a local GP practice
  • Comprehensive support on the go with the Smoke Free app
  • Free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), vape quit quits (18+ only) and stop smoking medication (18+ only)
  • Expert help to work through common barriers to quitting including smoking triggers, withdrawal symptoms and cravings

Quitting reduces your risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke and lung disease, and can improve your breathing, energy levels and overall wellbeing.

If you’re thinking about quitting, why not make 11th March the day you quit for good.

Ready to start? To access free support, ask your normal GP practice for an appointment with your local stop smoking adviser or contact the IPC team directly to get started:
