Here at SWGP, we have over 200 employees. These range from corporate staff, based at our headquarters in Leamington, to Additional Roles and Services staff, who are based in practices across South Warwickshire.

At SWGP, we have an inclusive culture which invites people of all demographics to apply for roles with us.

In 2023, we launched our annual staff survey, which allows staff to provide feedback on their experiences of working at SWGP anonymously, and we are delighted to have received a great response which clearly demonstrates that staff feedback, wellbeing and appreciation is well-embedded into the culture of our organisation.

Over 80% of staff said that:

  • They feel they are able to make suggestions to improve the work of their team/department.
  • They feel valued by their team.
  • They always know what their responsibilities are.
  • They achieve a good balance between their work life and their home life.
  • Their manager takes a positive interest in their health and well-being.
  • They feel SWGP acts fairly with regard to career progression or promotion, regardless of ethnic background, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age.
  • Their immediate manager values their work.

Since the survey was completed, our Quality and Compliance Lead has worked closely with our Senior Management Team to review the results and implement an action plan. We agreed over 20 actions, some big, some small in order to address some of less positive themes identified, of which most of have now been completed. That’s because we want to ensure a positive working experience for everyone at SWGP.

Here’s what some of our staff had to say about working at SWGP:

“For me, SWGP provides a platform not only to share ideas, work collaboratively, but also provide the support that I know that I can go to anybody within SWGP and be able to feel supported and encouraged to come to work every day” – Abigail Majek, Senior Clinical Pharmacist

“We’re always looking for new efficient and better ways of working, and we try and make sure that we have a culture of that within the organisation.” – Chris Beyer, Information and Governance Lead
