Primary Care Dermatology (PCD) has received high praise from patients during its first three months. The service, which commissioned by Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) provides specialist dermatology care for routine conditions at local hubs, reducing pressure on hospital waiting lists and providing faster treatment for patients.
Over 80 patients have shared their views so far, with almost 97% rating their experience as either ‘good’ or ‘very good’.
Highlights from the feedback include:
- 99% rated PCD as ‘good’ or ‘very good’ at making them feel at ease, showing interest in their concerns, and explaining things clearly.
- 90% said the service was ‘good’ or ‘very good’ at helping them manage their health.
- 89% felt the service was either ‘good’ or ‘very good’ at making a plan of action with them.
Patients shared comments such as:
“The whole service from GP to appointment to arranging a surgery was excellent.”
“Excellent service. Very efficient and well organised. Very compassionate doctor.”
“Well run facility, very professional GP. Quick appointment, good alternative to a hospital visit, felt very reassured and treated with respect.”
Primary Care Dermatology is provided on behalf of the ICB by Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care (IPC). South Warwickshire GP Federation works alongside Consultant Connect to deliver the service. SWGP leads on overall project management, GP recruitment and training, referral management, and patient feedback.

The Primary Care Dermatology service is commissioned by Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board and provided by Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care, in partnership with Consultant Connect and South Warwickshire GP Federation.
