IPC is responsible for hosting the Coventry & Warwickshire Training Hub which provides access to relevant education, training and development opportunities, and wider support, for everyone working in primary care in Coventry, Rugby, South Warwickshire, and Warwickshire North.

Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Care Board has also commissioned IPC to provide system-wide clinical and administrative services to enhance the treatments available to patients in their communities and to strengthen primary care across the region.

Visit Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care for more information about system-wide services and support.

IPC-led clinical services include:

  • Primary Care Gynaecology Service: a single point of access for routine gynaecology conditions and treatments where these cannot be met within individual practices.
  • Primary Care Dermatology: specialist consultant and GP care for patients with a range of dermatological conditions where these cannot be treated at your normal GP practice.
  • Primary Care Surge: additional GP capacity for practices to cover unexpected GP workforce shortages.
  • Respiratory@Home: treatment and remote monitoring for patients with certain types of respiratory infections which don’t require hospital admission.

IPC also delivers the following non-clinical activities:

  • Digital Champions: dedicated digital services and transformation support for practices and primary care networks (PCNs).
  • Ophthalmology Coordination Service: an administrative hub managing routine referrals from optometrists to secondary care.
  • Clinical Leads: supporting the recruitment of Clinical Leads for ICB programmes of transformation.

In most cases, these contracts are delivered on behalf of IPC by a lead Federation. SWGP is responsible for delivering several contracts which are monitored and managed by IPC’s Board in collaboration with the ICB.
