System-wide services

We represent the voice of our members at system and place level, and provide system-wide services across Coventry & Warwickshire as part of Integrated Primary Care.

SWGP at a glance

We enable practices in South Warwickshire to spend more time focusing on delivering excellent patient care by offering additional services and resources that improve access to treatment and workforce capacity in primary care.

With greater demand for services to be provided ‘at scale’ across wider geographic areas, one of our key roles is to deliver enhanced and specialist services within local communities, maintaining the trusted link between GPs and patients and helping hospitals reduce waiting lists.

We are proud of our track record, which includes:
  • Supporting practices through challenging times, including the Covid-19 pandemic, winter pressures and workforce shortages.
  • Enabling PCNs to develop and mature by providing recruitment, management and accounting services, as well as delivering clinical contracts where required
  • Designing and delivering high quality services at scale that offer more services to patients in their community
23/24 Annual Report

Over the past ten years we have continually adapted our services to support practices and patients as needs and NHS structures have changed.

With the recent launch of the new NHS 10 Year Health plan for England, we are actively looking at ways we can adapt and enhance our services, in partnership with our members and local stakeholders, to continue to strengthen patient care.
