After the success of previous Covid immunisation campaigns, General Practice in South Warwickshire is once again coming together to deliver the Spring Booster Campaign. Details for your Practice and PCN will be available locally.
The South Warwickshire GP Federation is supporting the Dene and Stour and Arden Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to deliver their campaign.
Vaccinations are being offered to residents aged 75+ and immunosuppressed patients aged 18-74. We are vaccinating housebound and care home patients on behalf of both PCNs.
In addition, we’re running clinics for eligible patients within Dene & Stour PCN. Our clinics are running on five consecutive Saturdays; our first clinic took place on Saturday 13th May 2023.
Eligible patients will have been contacted by text message and asked to book an appointment at one of our clinics, being held at:
- Shipston Medical Centre
- Hastings House
- Meon Medical Centre
Clinics are open from 8:30 am until 5:30pm.
Invites are now being sent to eligible Dene & Stour patients to book an appointment at one of our clinics. It is possible that patients may also receive an invite via the national service from 119. If patients receive more than one invite, they can choose to book via the 119 service or through the Federation invite; in addition, each practice has an option on their phone menu for Covid Vaccination queries.
Booster doses of Pfizer or Sanofi vaccines are being given which have been approved in the UK for this age group. These vaccines have been updated since the first vaccines and target different COVID-19 variants. For a very small number of people another vaccine product may be advised by their doctor and patients will be signposted accordingly.
