The SWGP Enhanced Access service delivered in partnership with five Primary Care Networks has received strong praise from patients, with 90% of feedback rating the service ‘very good’. Specific praise was given for the caring and informative approach of the team and the time available to discuss options and next steps.
The Enhanced Access service was set up just over 12 months ago and provides patients with evening and weekend appointments which can be booked through their usual GP practice. SWGP provides this service on behalf of several practices in partnership with local Primary Care Networks.
Enhanced access provides pre-bookable and same day appointments that are ideal for those who can’t easily attend appointments during normal practice hours.
We are delighted to have received such fantastic feedback from patients and thank everyone involved in delivering the service for helping to make it a success. We’ve also picked up some useful pointers on how the service can be further improved thanks to patient suggestions.
